Laid back

We’ve been enjoying a leisurely weekend. The weather as usual is beautiful--we could easily get used to day after day of bright sunshine. Yesterday we enjoyed another bike ride--same area as before. This time we ran into (not literally) a herd of sheep crossing our trail with 3 or 4 sheepdogs nipping and yipping them along. Today we worshiped at Rehoboth CRC in the morning and took a hike in the afternoon. We got to see Pam Steenstra at church--she was here to surprise daughter Emily for her birthday.
Because we’re volunteering here, we’ve been given an apartment to stay in. It’s not huge, but way bigger and better than a tent or hotel room. It’s great not to be living out of a suitcase, be able to watch Michigan beat Northwestern on cable TV, fix real meals, and have a place to call our own. It’s also nice to feel like part of a neighborhood, with afternoon coffees offering a chance for the usual CRC Bingo connections.

Hi Len and Carrie - how fun for you to see Pam Steenstra! Please greet Char Veenstra's mother for us and also greetings to Bob and Mary Ippel. How's that for Dutch Bingo? Good to hear of your happenings via Herm/Laurie. They had a wonderful time with you - and I had forgotten the Ina connection for them. All is well - Louise/Dick
