Fraser Island

We're spending a few days on Fraser Island, which is the largest sand island in the world, and it's a World Heritage site. We took a guided bird walk this morning--got 2 lifers already, the white-cheeked honeyeater and the red-backed wren. Our balcony overlooks a pond and has lots of bird life around it. We watched an azure kingfisher catch his breakfast this morning. Gorgeous!

Sounds wonderful! I've always dreamed of an island getaway! Carrie, how many lifers do you have?

I'm getting close to 1000 worldwide lifers--that will be a big milestone!
