Life with Andrew

If you've been reading Andrew's blog, you've seen that Dave and Julie have sold their house in Howard City and are buying a house in Grand Rapids. It's on Clearbrook SE, near Kalamazoo and 36th St. There's a gap between leaving their old house and getting possession of the new one, so they'll be living with us for a few weeks--we're very excited about that. We've been busy helping them pack up--the timing is a challenge for them with Andrew being so little.

We saw this car at a garage sale last week and couldn't resist picking it up, even though Andrew may need to grow into it yet. Can you say "doting grandparents"?

In spite of the busyness, we have had time to enjoy the garden--especially the critters that are regular visitors to our patio. Most mornings, while we're eating our cereal and drinking our coffee, we watch a regular parade--various birds on the feeders, gray squirrels, red squirrels, chipmunks, and voles under the feeders eating the spilled seed. And a family of rabbits. You see one here eying the petunia and then chowing down.

Get that drivers training in early. I've been a passenger with Len and Julie and heard stories about Lens Dad. :) Maybe Andrew takes after his father.

That is one cool garage sale find! Betsy loved the picture of the bunny eating the flower.

You look like you're relishing being grandparents...I knew you'd love it!

We just found out that we're adding grandchild number 3 to my parents' brood...number 14 to the Detweiler gang...making his/her debut in February! :)
