"La Vie en Rose" is power-packed from start to finish. Though it runs 140
minutes, it seems shorter because of its relentless dramatic intensity, due to
an unforgettable performance by Marion Cotillard ("A Good Year," "A Very Long
Engagement") as the diminutive chanteuse.
The various decades of the 20th century are recaptured wonderfully in "La
Vie en Rose," but what makes it an important film to be savored by any film
lover is the tour de force performance by Cotillard. It isn't often an actress
in a foreign production is thought about at Oscar time, but I'll be shocked if
she doesn't get a nomination for this.

Movie Review -- "La Vie en Rose"
Friday we went to the redone Cinemark Theater, which now shows second run and foreign and art films. We saw a biopic of Edith Piaf--what a wonderful movie--we highly recommend it. Here are a few excerpts from Andrew Jefchak's review in the GR Press:
