The next day we visited the lovely Royal Botanical Gardens near Hamilton and in the evening enjoyed the Royal Ontario Museum. The featured exhibit was "Ancient Peru," featuring artifacts from royal tombs of the ancient Sican culture of Peru. The gold jewelry and other decorations were especially beautiful and astonishingly detailed.

Saturday we went to the Canadian National Exhibition--highlights included a human cannonball (the world record-holder in fact) and an ice show featuring music from Broadway. "The Ex" takes place every year during the last 2 weeks of August, ending with a fabulous airshow over the Labor Day holiday. It is the largest annual fair in Canada and the fifth largest in North America. There's a midway, farm animals, dog and cat shows, arts and crafts and food booths. And people watching of course.
Dinner at the Madison Pub (Morris and Alice, great recommendation!)

Just to let you know I'm still following along. By the way I'm kind of wondering how many times on should post per aech of the Travelling Trolls narratives.
