Birthday Update

If you read our description, you'll see we've changed it a little. We are no longer a couple of 50-somethings. One of us has passed the threshhold to 60! Our friends Herm and Laurie Witte decided to come down to surprise Len and help him celebrate the big occasion. I told him Linda Kenney, who's actually coming next week, had to come a week early because of kid issues, and although he was a little suspicious that something might be going on, he was totally surprised to see Herm and Laurie. So we've been having a delightful time together and can still look foward to Linda's visit next week.

Special thanks to everyone who added to his birthday joy with your cards, emails, and phone calls. We appreciate you all. One of Len's cards had a quote from Frederick Buechner that we want to share:
"Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace."
